As the Gospel went out in Ephesus it was disrupting the idols of the culture. This came to an explosive head when a silversmith named Demetrius incited a riot in the city. Through the Gospel, God is disrupting the idols of the human heart. We see this in Acts 19:21–41 as we observe three things: the characteristics of idols, the confrontation of idols, and the crumbling of idols.
