SALVATION

Do you want to give your life to Jesus?

YOU CAN KNOW JESUS TODAY

1) RECOGNIZE

Salvation begins with a recognition of who you are and who Jesus is. Romans 3:10 says “No one is righteous, not even one." And why is this? Because "everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard." (Rom. 3:23). The punishment for sin is death - eternal death and separation from God: "
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus is without sin. "He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone." (1 Pet. 2:22). Jesus did meet God's righteous standard of perfection. Where we fell short, Jesus succeeded. And the punishment that we deserved, Jesus took upon Himself as He hung upon the cross. He is willing to exchange His perfect righteousness for your imperfection. His life for your life. Before you can receive Jesus, you must recognize your need for Him!

2) REPENT

Once you realize who Jesus is, it is important that you turn to Him! That is what repentance is - turning away from your sin so that you can turn to Jesus. When Jesus first began His public ministry, He began preaching “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” (Mt 4:17). Jesus wants to set you free from sin! Paul talked about this in Romans 6 when he said, "Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? 2 Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?" (Rom) 6:1–2.

3) RECEIVE

The Bible makes this abundantly clear: the key to salvation is faith in Jesus Christ. You must receive who He is and what He has done by faith. Take a moment to really think about these passages: “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life" (Jn 3:16). "God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it" (Eph. 2:8-9).  You can have salvation today by putting your faith into Jesus! "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Rom 10:9).

NEXT STEPS

We rejoice with you that you have received Jesus Christ! "In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!" (Luke 15:7). Here's what you should do next:

1) COMMIT TO READING THE BIBLE

The single greatest source of growth you experience in your Christian life will come from reading, understanding, and living the Bible. "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."  (2 Tim 3:16–17). We would love to send you a Bible for free. Simply fill out the form above.

2) COMMIT TO A LOCAL CHURCH

God has established the Church as His hands and feet here on the earth! It is in the Church that you will find community, instruction, and discipleship. If you have given your life to Jesus, commit to attending a local church every week. Be sure that the church you attend teaches the Bible! Get to know people, and start doing life with other believers. Find an older believer you can trust and ask them to disciple you. If you live nearby, we invite you to join us!

3) GET BAPTIZED

When thousands of people got saved in Acts 2, Peter told them, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 2:38). While baptism does not save you, the Scripture make it clear that it is very important. You can think of it as a wedding ring. It is an outward symbol of your inward commitment to Jesus Christ. Even Jesus Himself was baptized, setting an example for us to follow in His footsteps!
