Living in Exile

In 1 Samuel 19, Saul's murderous intentions against David are no longer a secret and David is forced to flee. From this time on, he will live as an exile until he comes to the throne. Peter described the Christian life as the life of an exile. Since our citizenship is in heaven, all those in Christ live as exiles on this earth.
